Dr. David A. Almeida is Professor of Special Education at º£½ÇÂÒÂ× (º£½ÇÂÒÂ×). He was previously Associate Professor of Education at Stonehill College (SC). He served as department chair at both º£½ÇÂÒÂ× and SC as well as Acting Associate Dean. Dr. Almeida was a founding faculty member of the Pedro Pires Institute for Cape Verdean Studies at º£½ÇÂÒÂ×. Prior to his work in higher education, Dr. Almeida was a special education teacher at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.
