The UAA @ EXCEL @ º£½ÇÂÒÂ× (EXCEL Vocational) is a collaborative program with a local training site and a national partner, , that provides students with hands-on career and technical education. The EXCEL Vocational program provides the individualized supports students need to access career and technical education combined with a college experience to successfully transition to a sustainable adult life. The goal is for the UAA@EXCEL@º£½ÇÂÒÂ× program to help students gain the confidence and tools needed to prepare them for paid competitive employment in a technical field such as manufacturing. This private pay program is designed for students 18+ who may or may not have earned a high school diploma. EXCEL Vocational students may commute to campus or live on campus in º£½ÇÂÒÂ× residence halls.
Consideration for admission to the EXCEL Vocational program is given to students who meet the eligibility criteria.
The EXCEL Vocational program includes academic, career and social components.
The EXCEL Vocational application process works with qualified and interested candidates and their families.
Students in the program are supported by undergraduate º£½ÇÂÒÂ× students.
Eligible students have the option to live on campus in residence halls along side their peers.
