Computer science is an essential discipline, impacting everything from global economies to our everyday lives. Its theory and application are connected to how we work, and the need for computer literacy in all industries is projected to grow in the coming years.

º£½ÇÂÒÂ×’s undergraduate programs in computer science will prepare you to apply your skills and knowledge to the design, implementation and evaluation of computer-based systems in virtually any industry.

Our experienced faculty in the Department of Computer Science have diverse expertise in security, hardware, networking, software development, robotics, games and animation. Their classroom teaching is complemented by work in both computer labs and a state-of-the-art electronics lab, which provide students in our computer science undergraduate programs with excellent hands-on opportunities to put theory into practice.

Be a cybersecurity leader

º£½ÇÂÒÂ× is now enrolling for its Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics. Learn in small classes in brand new facilities. Students will learn the skills to handle high-pressure cyber-attacks in our new cyber-range. Development is also underway for a Security Operations Center (SOC) where students may gain experience analyzing real security data for external clients.

New cyber range facility

º£½ÇÂÒÂ×’s state-of-the-art cyber range, now under development, will provide computer science majors and minors with hands-on virtual experiences in simulated cyber-criminal attacks, including sophisticated ransomware and malware attacks on networks. You won’t get access to an exciting feature like this in an online bachelor’s in computer science program.

With Boston on our doorstep, students in our BS in computer science or minor program can get a foot in the door of a future employer while gaining first-hand work experience in the field. Most of our computer science undergraduate classes have fewer than 20 students, which means you’ll be able to interact with students and instructors one-on-one in a more collaborative learning atmosphere.

Computer Science Undergraduate Programs

As a student in one of our computer science undergraduate programs, you’ll study:

  • Computer theory
  • Ethical and technological issues
  • User interface requirements
  • Development, programming and design of hardware platforms and software applications

The BS in computer science focuses on developing your understanding of computer theory, the importance of ethics in computing, as well as the design and programming of hardware and software. The minor teaches the foundations of computer science, data structures and programming, skills that can transfer to many different jobs inside or outside of computer science.

In our computer engineering programs, from the BS to the minor, you’ll learn how to design and build computer systems, studying topics such as logic design, computer architecture, computer networks, electronics and more.

We also offer a Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics Minor that provides you with a strong technical foundation in computer science and digital forensic investigation in a program that focuses on network and information security.
